Hello dear friend
It has been preached over and over that these are the last days . The wise are taking heed and are discerning the signs of the times.So many things that were foretold in the Word of God are now unfolding right in our very eyes .My friend , let us never lose sight of why we are here , I mean , why God gave us these precious lives here on earth. God gave us life for us to live for Him , love Him , seek Him , obey Him ,fear him , worship and praise Him and for us to give Him His rightful place in our lives as our Creator, God, Father and King .
But due to the influence of satan , the devil who is opposed to God`s rule , God`s glory and God`s Word , today`s life is now all about money, pleasure, greed, sexual immorality, homosexuality, alcoholism, wickedness and so forth..With the advancement in science and technology there now exists a new `breed `of sins and vices some of which is internet pornography which some `Christians` are now even addicted to . Some accidentally came across a porn site and have not been able to resist the lure ever since.
People have also become comfortable with lewd and obscene text messages (Sms) including some suggestive picture messages on mobile phones which they quickly send to the next recipient to `enjoy` .Some camera phones are now being abused and used for the wrong purposes.The people whom God created to love Him have now become lovers of money and pleasure rather than lovers of God .
But God calls us to live a life that is ` holy and without blame` ( Eph 1:5) and so we should ` lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us `(Heb 12:1) and live for God. Remember that the way we are living our lives right now determines our destiny – either eternal life in Heaven of eternal punishment in the fires of hell .But God cares for each one of us that He does not want His special creation to suffer in the fire of hell .Hell was made for satan and his demons but they want to take as many people as they can with them to eternal condemnation .
But is there hope for the human race ? Yes there is hope! God adequately catered for the utter depravity of the human race through Jesus Christ.
The remedy – The Lord Jesus Christ
Man was totally lost ,depraved and doomed and in need of a redeemer and God made a provision for the redemption of all people by giving us his one and only Son ,the Lord Jesus Christ who died for us, died in our place and shed His precious blood which cleanses every man and woman , boy and girl , of their sins (Eph 1:7) .You see , the bible states that Jesus was `manifested to destroy the works of the Devil ` (1 John 3:8) and this is exactly what Jesus does in the life of everyone who believes in Him.You probably know that satan was hurled from the heavens and thrown down to the earth after having rebelled against God . (Rev 12:7).This was kind of unfair for the human race to have the devil thrown down among us thus God sent the Lord Jesus to earth to destroy the devil `home and away` , Amen!
This means that satan was defeated by the armies of Heaven led by the Lord Jesus and he can be defeated in your life also today because Jesus came for that .Jesus Christ came to establish the Kingdom of God here on earth bringing righteousness , joy ,health ,life , victory ,prosperity and above all salvation to all who believe .Read the account of the gospels from Matthew to John and discover how Jesus destroyed the kingdom of satan who brought sin ,rebellion ,sickness , death , strife , poverty, misery etc . Jesus did this by healing all manner of sicknesses and diseases, raising the dead , giving sight to the blind , performing miracles of abundance and feeding the hungry, proclaiming the message of salvation from all sin and so forth .
My friend , this Jesus is alive because He conquered death and hell and rose again to life and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. And He is coming back !!
The coming of the Lord Jesus
The glorified Jesus Himself says in Revelations 3:11 , “ Behold I am coming quickly ! Hold fast to what you have , that no one may take your crown " . What is it that we should hold fast as He says ? It is our salvation. Let us not lose our salvation because of the concerns and the pleasures of this world and strive for righteousness each and every single day of our lives .John , the writer of Revelations also adds on :" Behold He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him , even they who pierced Him . And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. "
I do not want to be part of those who mourn when Jesus comes in His glory with the clouds of Heaven , do you ? The redeemed of the Lord , those who washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb will be filled with exceeding joy at the sight of Him !
So have you washed your clothes in the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ , the Lamb of
God ? John 1:12 says that to all who " received Him, to them he gave the right to become children of God , those who believe in his Name " .Isn`t it good that we all can be children of God !
Real children of God live the way that their Father wants them to live . They are sanctified and set apart by the holy Spirit and they are not controlled or ruled by the impulses of the flesh.They are in the world but they are not of the world , neither are they conformed to it .They are faithful witnesses of our Lord Jesus who boldly proclaim His gospel hithout fear . These are the ones who are assured of a crown at the end of the age .Jesus said that His coming will be without any warning - like a thief in the night. The chidren of God are adequately prepared for any eventuality.Hope that you are or will be part of them!
